Roosevelt Hospital Mother's Day Event

On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, the Eve Fenton Love-All Foundation celebrated our sixty-eighth event at Roosevelt Hospital – Intensive Care Unit and Neurology Clinic. This event proved to be the most memorable, inspirational and poignant outreach program within the parameter of sixty-eight successful events. The food, gifts and entertainment were the best of the best. Joy and laughter rang out as the best medication for kids with special needs. A proven case of joy and laughter was indicated by a little ten month old baby who underwent four operations within a short period of time. When Dave Konig and FDNY character Hot Dog entered the room, our little baby girl in the Intensive Care Unit beamed with delight and played with these two great humanitarians. She gave Hot Dog one of her favorite toys to give to Vicki. What an alert, incredible child! I know in my heart that all our prayers will see to it that this special child has success throughout her life. We took photographs of this child and other children which will be posted on our website and a video which will be on our Facebook page.

Our Merit of Achievement Awards were presented to New York State Assembly Member Linda B. Rosenthal for her outstanding love of humanity and the successful undertaking of excellent work in the New York Community; our Armed Forces special solder was Anthony Alaimo, who served in active duty on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan. Anthony's parents are great sponsors to our Foundation and were present at this event.

Our Fire Department entertained us with a costumed character by the name of Hot Dog. Two special entertainers, David Konig, the great comedian with a heart of gold, whom we call King David and Lisa Chavez, a magnificent opera singer, proved to be a prize winning proposition. A special thank you to Ingrid Ordonez, Child Life Pediatric Intensive Care Coordinator. Additionally, thank you is extended to Lilly Medina, special assistant to Dr. Alex Berenstein, Executive Director of Neurology and to Judith Shapiro, whose unending volunteer work should be commended for the support that she has given our Foundation. Thank you to our new sponsors, Blondie's & Justino's, who proved themselves to walk the humanitarian road above and beyond the call of duty and to Zaro's, a bakery that's great from A to Z. Another grand thank you to the following sponsors:
