On Friday, May 1, 2015, the Eve Fenton Love-All Foundation sponsored a blockbuster Tenth Annual Runathon, which turned out to be a magic carpet event for the young runners.
A gigantic special thank you to the New York Road Runners Foundation for their humanitarian efforts by working in concert with our Foundation for many years. They showcased physical education navigating our mutual success goal of health and wellness for humanity. Their champion dedication to health and wellness is an inspirational blessing for our future generation. The NYRR team, i.e. Cliff Sperber and Herman Martinez are treasured humanitarians. We presented Cliff and Herman with Vanguard Humanitarian Awards for their never ending special efforts to one and all. Cliff Sperber has faced many challenges over the years and has mastered each and every endeavor with intrepid expertise, indoctrinating one and all with eternal knowledge above and beyond. Additionally, thank you to Zach Barnwell for his superb knowledge, expertise and successful coordination endeavors.
The New York City Fire Department has been present at most of our events. The FDNY has showcased an incredible safety, health, and wellness program. Thank you to Mike Jones and his associate Jeff, a great team imparting their knowledge to the young runners and their family members. The fire truck was present, as always, for the kids.
Two of our board members, James Marchignoli and Alan Zayas and family, were in great form to master this event. They both did a spectacular job. Additionally, Fera and Luis from Ruths Chris Steakhouse were present with sumptuous fruit and cheese platters. All of the platters of food were devoured with smiles and enjoyment. Nutritional salad platters by the one and only Treehouse Group - Bob and Mike were awesome. D’Agostino Supermarket and Staples were present with their banners for support and great volunteer work.
Overwhelming gratitude, including a million and one thank yous, to our dream team sponsors for their donations and support over many decades to our family. i.e. Duane Reade, a fifty year plus connection dating back to my grandmother; Carmine’s Restaurant, a family tradition over the years; Famous Famiglia, a great sponsor for an expanded period of time that cannot be surpassed; Mariella Pizzeria, words cannot express their long term relationship over the years and unparalleled pizza; Treehouse, unbeatable nutritional salads made with innovation, love and inspiration; Seasons Market, an untold story of pride in their gourmet treats. Artie’s Deli, wow always there with care and mouth watering dishes; Ferrara Bakery, a family member with love and affection in their culinary baking; Veniero’s Bakery, ditto, always present with greatness; Ruths Chris, their love of humanity is awesome, present were Fera and Luis (chef, par excellence), a blockbuster in and of itself; the New York Yankees and Colgate Palmolive were the best of the best, without a doubt, they presented special gifts for our young runners.
Many accolades were asserted as this being the mother of all annual runathons that we have had to this very day. “Reach for a star and you will be blessed with a galaxy”TM,” by Eve Fenton. The Tenth Annual Runathon event not only reached a star but encompassed the entire solar system.
